Seasons Greetings
Year End Letter 2008
Dear Friends of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Research Foundation, supporting research at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center.
The Board of Directors, Dr. Mark Sherrid, Dr. Daniel Swistel and I wish you and your families joyous, healthy and happy holidays! We thank you for your concern and past generosity.
2008 has been a very successful year. On December 6th and 7th the St Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center 2008 HCM Treatment Symposium was held at the Yale Club in New York City and partially funded by our foundation. It was attended by 125 registrants from all over the country and abroad, I was deeply touched and impressed with the enormous advancement in knowledge and new treatments available to HCM sufferers. Many of the research studies that have led to these advancements in the knowledge of the HCM condition and current treatments are directly attributed to your support and generosity.
My plea at this time of economic hardship is that you make your charitable contributions one of the last items to cut back on. For those of you who would like to make a year end donation, your contribution will be deeply appreciated and I can personally attest to the fact that this is an extremely worthy cause which continues to donate at least ninety percent of its contributions to research. You may make your contribution check payable to HCMRF Inc.
The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Research Foundation, Inc. supporting research at SLRHC, is a section 501 (c) (3) tax exempt corporation.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your past and continued support and offer my best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season.
Thank you!
